2014 in 3D

After an insanely busy 2013 we're heading into 2014 with a full calendar!

On Wednesday the 8th we hosted the 3D Maryland Users Group at our office in Owings Mills. It was a great event and attendees seemed to really enjoy seeing all of the things we do at Direct Dimensions.

Our pop up store, BMore3D, was so successful in December that we've decided to keep it open a bit longer. Baltimoreans still have time to buy cool, local 3D stuff as well as have their ShapeShots taken.

The couple to the left came into BMore3D to have a customized cake topper created. We laser scanned them and will then use the file to print their digital replicas into an amazing personalized addition for their wedding.

January 24-26 we plan on participating in the second annual Art Bytes Hackathon at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. For this event the Walters opens it doors for an entire weekend to community techies and creatives who come together to create projects either inspired by the art or to enhance the museum experience.

We've also had crews out scanning for movies, multiple airplanes and working on several structural scans. We're off to a great start for 2014!
